April 16th Memorial Dedication - August 2007

Virginia Tech held a dedication ceremony for the new permanent April 16th Memorial on August 19th, 2007. The MVs were invited to play, and one of our Drum Majors, Stephen Shelburne, sang along to a new arrangement of the Virginia Tech Alma Mater. Ryan "Stack" Clark's sister and mother visited the band before and after the ceremony, as well as attending the MV's practice the night before. With their blessing, the MVs premiered a new arrangement of "Amazing Grace" in memory of Stack and the others lost in the tragedy.
