MVs and YMCA Return to New Orleans November 11th, 2007
The MVs and the YMCA at Virginia Tech are teaming up to return to
New Orleans to help in the rebuilding process. The group of forty-two heads out of Blacksburg right
after the Miami game, and return just in the nick of time to help beat the Cavaliers in
Charlottesville. The crew includes 16 members of the MVs and a number of
"repeat participants" - many have been to New Orleans several times!
In addition to the rebuilding work they'll accomplish, they'll be involved
in another meaningful experience. Two of the victims of 4/16 - Ryan "Stack"
Clark and Leslie Sherman - had been to New Orleans as part of this ongoing
project. The Louisiana United Methodist Storm Recovery Center is dedicating
a rebuilt house in their honor while our group is in Louisiana. You can
read more about Miss Monty's home here:

SO - what can YOU do? SUPPORT THIS TERRIFIC PROJECT!
In 2005, we raised the entire cost of the trip. We'd like to help the YMCA
and Sandy Wirt, their CAN-DO director, make this happen again! It is SO EASY!
