MVs Partner with Habitat for Humanity November 25th, 2008
The Marching Virginians have announced a partnership with
Habitat for Humanity of the New River Valley to build a home. The project will honor the service commitment
and memory of Ryan "Stack" Clark, a member of the MVs who perished in the tragic events of April 16.
The band is currently raising $40,000 to fund the project. With over 350 band members, the group is
soliciting donations and developing creative fund-raising plans. Their goal is to have all funds raised
by the Marching Virginians Bandquet on January 24th, with building to begin this spring.
The yet-to-be-named home will be built in a new subdivision of Habitat houses in Radford.
All donations are tax-deductible. Checks should be written to "Habitat for Humanity” and sent to David
McKee at the address below. Matching corporate gifts are welcome.
